Digital Cuts ran a Driven workshop for the editorial team of Sport-Auto.ch at the Vuiteboeuf karting track, combining sport and training.

Team building and Driven Workshop for Sport Auto

In early February, Sport-Auto.ch commissioned us to run a Driven Workshop at the Vuiteboeuf karting track, specially tailored to this team of enthusiasts who are passionate about motorsport, speed, driving, writing and journalism. They chose us for their annual company outing. Much more than a seminar or team building, this day allowed us to apply the Driven concept specifically to their business. We showed the value of this workshop, which combines digital marketing and racing, in helping Sport-Auto exceed its 2020 goals.

Who is Sport-Auto.ch?

Starting from scratch, Sport-Auto.ch grew out of a meeting between several motorsport enthusiasts, connoisseurs and owners of fine machinery. They created a website a few years ago and reached more than half a million page views in 2019. This media outlet’s strategy is to test cars and publish motorsport performance and news in Switzerland, exclusively online: their constant goal is to increase traffic to their site. Through hard, passionate work, Sport Auto is currently positioned as the leader in its sector. The Driven workshop draws on motor racing to energise digital marketing performance: here is the story of an unforgettable and successful experience.

Digital Marketing Training

A sporty and educational company outing: where digital marketing meets karting

True to the concept, this original team building offers digital marketing training as well as karting coaching. This method is no coincidence: each digital marketing point is inspired by karting. In the conference room, we covered digital marketing topics essential for the Sport-Auto.ch team: strategy, SEO and social media, to sharpen minds and raise awareness of the key factors. As a result, Sport-Auto’s writers will see things differently when writing their next articles. As well as the theory covered in the conference room, Digital Cuts offered exercises for both digital and karting. The team-building participants worked on case studies involving their own website. For example, the Sport-Auto.ch team had to analyse Google Analytics tables and reports with data from their website, and show how to use them to boost performance and traffic on sport-auto.ch. Identifying high-quality pages and those that drag performance down, improving the user experience and avoiding duplicate content were among the topics covered during this afternoon of training.

Beyond the educational side, the Sport-Auto.ch editorial team was there to have fun and strengthen team spirit. They had the chance to drive karts on the Vuiteboeuf circuit in pouring rain. A very technical, twisty track, perfect for working on your reflexes and performance. An opportunity to tackle the very particular art of driving in the rain and the various techniques involved. A moment full of emotion and adrenaline, enjoyed by all the participants: skids, late braking, trips off the track and, above all, huge progress from every driver, with an average gain of 3 seconds a lap.

Karting during a team building event

Thank you to the whole Sport-Auto.ch team for their trust; we wish them the very best for the years ahead. As with all our clients, we stay close by to support them and help them stay at the top of Google’s results, on the highest step of the podium, whether on SEO or other aspects of digital marketing. We would also like to warmly thank the Vuiteboeuf karting track for its perfect welcome, as always.
